I joined L&T as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in July 2023. My work involves System Design of Radar Systems, Product Lifecycle Management, System scheme preparation using Zuken E3, general arrangement preparation using AutoCAD, cable routing in system layout using Siemens UGNX
The company had previously designed a ML model that aimed to provide early diagnosis of Diabetic Retinopathy. The idea here was to get annotations and advices on spot from doctors remotely from different locations. My job here was to build a 3-axis OCT (Optical coherence tomography) device, fully controllable remotely with low latency and high accuracy such that doctors could control them remote in real-time.
The major task was to design and implement an IoT Gateway that will integrate Modbus RS-485 Protocol to enable monitor heavy energy meters and industrial sensors (Used: Atmega2560, MAX485, DS3231). Writing Firmware to fetch data, parse into payloads and send data using an NB IoT device transmit data using AT-commands. Testing Hardware and flashing equivalent Embedded C codes
